GESTRA Blowdown Valve, MPA48

The GESTRA blowdown valve MPA 48 is designed for installation in pipelines to discharge boiler water. This sludge quick-closing valve is manually operated for automatic function. Specifically, the MPA 48 sludge valve removes sludge-laden boiler water containing non-metallic solids from steam generators. Upon opening, it rapidly provides a large outlet cross-section, enabling efficient expulsion of settled sludge. MPA-type units incorporate diaphragm actuators to facilitate automated operation.
